We did a review of the Time Warner Cable app for iPad a while ago. With the app, you could watch select channels in your Time Warner Cable lineup on your iPad in any room of your house while you were connected to your home's WiFi network. Now, the app has been updated into a universal app, meaning you can now enjoy your programming on your iPhone and iPod touch with the updated universal TWC TV app. It works with iPad, iPhone 3G, 4x4S, and iPod touch 3rd or 4th generation; it requires iOS 4.3 or higher. It's free in the iTunes app store. |

This is cool I guess, but I already HAVE TV's in the rooms where I like to watch TV. I don't need a $1000 mini TV to enjoy TV at home. I'd rather have my TV Everywhere, like I do with DISH. I recently got a Sling Adapter, and after I downloaded the free DISH Remote Access App for my iPad, I was able to take all my live TV channels AND my DVR with me when I left home. It's perfect for long car rides, subway, or even setting DVR recordings while I'm stuck at work. When some DISH coworkers and I found out we could get this as employees, we signed right up. Now I have complete control of my home TV system, and can stay connected on the go!
